“It was a well-coordinated fire attack by all agencies involved,” said PBSP Fire Capt. Ray Rook in an interview with the newspaper.
Other responding agencies included the Crescent City Fire Department and Crescent City Protection District.
According to the newspaper, the home was believed to be vacant. Half the house was engulfed in flames when fire crews arrived on Feb. 10.

The inmates and Fire Captain “were able to belay a supply line and a couple of fire attack lines,” the newspaper reported. It took two-and-a-half hours to quell the blaze and there were no injuries.
